I was walking through the fabric store here on a mission to come home with only flannelette for baby blankets and this fabric caught my eye, jumped into my arms and cut itself. It didn't pay on its own which is to bad, but it was on sale. I then had to backtrack and find a solid for the second layer.
I used yet another tutorial from From An Igloo. I love her stuff. I wanted to make a dress, initially, that was smocked, but not just straight across under the arms. I wanted it to come up a bit higher and she figured that out for me. It's very simple and quick to whip up but the extra layer adds nice weight.
Isn't that pose awesome?
I loved the top so much (and so did the little missy) that I also made a dress. Coming soon. . .

Cute, cute, cute!! Love the pose, too. :)
